Beyond fencing and gates — the outdoor construction and upkeep work we get asked for most.
Fencing and gates are our core business, but a lot of the same skills — framing, post-setting, working outdoors day in and day out in East Texas weather — carry directly over into a handful of related services property owners around Lake Livingston ask us for regularly. These aren't sold as standalone specialties the way a dedicated deck-builder or painting company would offer them, but as practical, reliably scheduled add-ons for the same customers we're already building fences and gates for.
Services we offer
Deck construction
New deck builds and repairs, from foundation and framing through railings and finish work, most often for a lakefront or backyard outdoor living space.
Pergola construction
A freestanding or attached pergola for shade and structure over a patio, deck, or outdoor seating area, built with the same framing standards as our deck and fence work.
Pressure washing
Cleaning for fences, decks, siding, and other exterior surfaces — often paired with staining as prep work, or offered on its own as standalone upkeep.
Staining
Fresh stain or sealant for an existing wood fence, deck, or other exterior wood structure, extending its life and refreshing its appearance without a full rebuild.
Gutter cleaning
Clearing debris from gutters and downspouts so they actually drain the way they're supposed to, protecting the roofline and foundation from water damage.
Skirting
Closing off the open space under a deck, house, mobile home, or shed in wood, metal, vinyl, lattice, brick, or CMU block.
Why we offer these alongside fencing
Most of these requests come from existing fence or gate customers who'd rather have one trusted crew handle a few different outdoor projects than coordinate multiple contractors. It also means we're already on-site with the right equipment and a working relationship established, which tends to make scheduling and pricing more straightforward than bringing in a specialist for a single smaller job.
How these connect to our fence work
Deck and pergola construction use the same post-setting, framing, and weather-resistant-material judgment as fence building; pressure washing and staining are the same upkeep work a wood fence needs, just applied to a deck or exterior surface instead; gutter cleaning is the odd one out skill-wise, but it's a common practical add-on for a property we're already on-site at for other work. None of these are treated as an afterthought — each gets its own dedicated page covering what's actually involved.
Scheduling multiple services together
It's common for a property owner to bundle a few of these at once — pressure washing and staining together, for instance, or gutter cleaning scheduled alongside a fence repair visit. We can usually coordinate multiple services into a single visit rather than scheduling separate trips for each one, which is worth mentioning when requesting a free estimate if more than one of these applies to a property.
Insured, same as our fence work
These services are covered under the same insurance as our core fencing and gate business, not treated as a separate side operation with different coverage. That matters for anything involving ladders, power tools, or working at height (deck framing, pergola beams, gutter cleaning), where a customer should be able to expect the same insured standard regardless of which specific service is being performed.
Getting a quote for more than one service
If a property needs more than one of these — say, deck staining and gutter cleaning, or a new pergola and pressure washing on an existing fence — mention all of it in one free estimate request rather than submitting separate requests for each. We can usually quote and schedule combined work more efficiently as one visit than as multiple separate appointments.
