Additional Services Offered by Texas Rural Fence, Inc.

Fencing and gates are our core business, but they're not the only work we do around a property.

We get asked often enough whether we do anything besides fencing that it seemed worth writing up. The short answer is yes — a handful of related other services that draw on the same skills as fence and gate construction: framing, post-setting, and general outdoor construction and upkeep. Here's what that actually covers.

Deck construction

We build new decks and handle deck repairs, from the foundation and framing stage through railings and finish work. A lot of our deck requests come from lakefront properties around Lake Livingston looking for outdoor living space, though it's a common request for any backyard as well.

Pergola construction

A pergola adds shade and structure over a patio, deck, or seating area, whether it's freestanding or attached to an existing structure. We build these to the same framing standards as our deck and fence work, so it holds up the same way over time.

Pressure washing

Fences, decks, siding, and other exterior surfaces build up dirt, algae, and grime over time, especially in the humidity here. Pressure washing is often the first step before staining or sealing, but it's also requested as standalone upkeep for a surface that just needs a deep clean.

Staining

A fresh coat of stain or sealant extends the life of an existing wood fence, deck, or other exterior wood structure and refreshes how it looks without a full rebuild. Staining is one of the most cost-effective ways to get more life out of wood that's still structurally sound but showing its age.

Gutter cleaning

Clogged gutters and downspouts don't drain the way they're supposed to, which can lead to water problems around the roofline and foundation. Gutter cleaning is a bit of an outlier compared to our other additional services skill-wise, but it's a practical add-on for a property we're already on-site at.

Why we offer these alongside fencing

Most requests for these services come from existing fence or gate customers who'd rather have one trusted, insured crew handle a few different outdoor projects than coordinate multiple separate contractors. Since we're often already on-site with the right equipment, scheduling tends to be more straightforward than bringing in a specialist for one smaller job.

Bundling services into one visit

It's common for a property owner to combine a few of these at once — pressure washing paired with staining, for example, or gutter cleaning scheduled alongside a fence repair. If more than one of these applies to a property, mentioning all of it in a single free estimate request usually lets us quote and schedule the combined work more efficiently than separate visits for each one.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer these services without also doing fence work?

Yes — while a lot of requests come from existing fence customers, deck construction, pergolas, pressure washing, staining, and gutter cleaning are all standalone services anyone in our service area can request.

Are deck and pergola construction covered by the same insurance as your fence work?

Yes, these additional services fall under the same insured business as our core fencing and gate work, not a separate side operation with different coverage.

Can I get pressure washing and staining done together?

Yes, and it's a common pairing — pressure washing as prep work right before staining tends to give a cleaner, longer-lasting finish than staining over a dirty surface.
