Texas Rural Fence, Inc. has built and repaired fences and gates around Lake Livingston since 2005. That is not a credential, because Texas does not issue one for fence contractors. It is experience, and here is what that experience actually amounts to for someone deciding who to hire.
We know the ground
Shoreline sand that a shallow post leans in. Clay on the hills that swells and shrinks. Lots that slope to the water and lines that run through pine. We have set posts in all of it, and we size the hole, the footing and the post to the soil we are standing on, not to a standard number.
We know the rules
The Trinity River Authority's shoreline easement. Subdivision deed restrictions in Cape Royale, around Onalaska and Point Blank, and in the newer neighborhoods in Livingston and Huntsville. City setbacks. We ask before we price, and we have been through enough of these to know what questions to ask.
We know what the weather does
Storms cross the open water and hit solid fence like a sail. Humidity rusts bare steel and feeds mildew on wood. Weeks of winter wet soak the ground. Every fence we build is coated, braced, set deep and designed with the wind in mind, because we repair the ones that were not.
We know which styles suit a lake lot
Open toward the water, solid toward the road and the neighbors. Black chain link that disappears in the trees, aluminum that will not rust at the shore, split rail with wire for the country look, privacy fence where privacy matters. Wood, metal and farm and ranch fence, gates and openers, decks, pergolas, washing, staining, gutters and skirting. Most lake properties need three or four of those, and one crew does them in the right order.
We are local, and we are here
Our shop is on FM 356 in Onalaska. The people who quote the job build it, and the people who build it answer the phone when the gate needs adjusting in five years. We are an insured, locally owned S corporation, not a franchise and not a crew from the city. More about who we are.

What does "specialist" mean here?
That we have built fences on this lake and this ground since 2005, know the soils, the slopes, the subdivisions and the weather, and build for them. It is not a certification; Texas does not have one for fence contractors.
Do you only work on the lake?
No. The lake is the center of our service area, and most of our work is within a short drive of it, but we build pasture, ranch and in-town fence across Polk and San Jacinto County.
Who will I deal with?
The same people from the estimate to the last gate latch. We are a small, locally owned company, and the crew that looks at the job is the crew that builds it.
