Happy Mother's Day

A quick note of thanks to the moms, grandmothers, and everyone who fills that role, from all of us at Texas Rural Fence.

Happy Mother's Day to the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, foster moms, and everyone else who's shown up in that role for the people around them. It's an easy thing to take for granted and a hard job to actually do well, day in and day out, and we wanted to take a minute to say thanks before getting back to the usual fence talk.

A day to slow down, if you can manage it

Around here, that might mean a family lunch, a quiet morning on the porch, or just an afternoon with nowhere in particular to be. Whatever it looks like this year, we hope the moms in your life get a day that's more about being taken care of than doing the taking care of, for once.

If you're thinking about the yard this weekend

We know not everyone wants to talk fencing on Mother's Day, and that's fine — this isn't a sales pitch. But if a mom in your life has mentioned wanting a nicer garden space, a bit more privacy on the patio, or somewhere shaded to sit outside, a few smaller projects tend to come up around this time of year: a garden fence to keep the vegetable beds protected, a pergola over a patio for some shade, or a simple deck addition to give an outdoor space somewhere comfortable to actually sit. None of these need to happen this weekend — just things worth keeping in mind if the subject comes up.

From our family to yours

Texas Rural Fence has been a locally owned, family-run business out of Onalaska since 2005, and a lot of the people who've kept it running over the years are moms themselves — on our crews, in our office, and in the families of the customers we build for all over Onalaska, Livingston, Coldspring, Point Blank, Shepherd, and the surrounding towns. So today's less about fences and more about saying thank you to the people who hold all of that together.

Frequently asked questions

Is Texas Rural Fence open on Mother's Day?

Our regular hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. Give us a call at (936) 933-2500 to check on any holiday scheduling.

Do you build garden fencing for smaller residential yards, not just farms?

Yes — garden fencing is a common request for standard residential yards, not just larger properties. It's usually a smaller, quicker project than a full perimeter fence.
