Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Fence Technician & Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and lead our fencing team. This role is perfect for someone who excels in hands-on fence construction while also thriving in a leadership and mentoring capacity. A key focus of this position is not only managing crews but also training and developing team members in the best practices, methods, and tips for high-quality fence and gate installations.
Key Responsibilities:

Employee Training & Development:
- Train new employees on installation procedures, safety protocols, and company standards.
- Provide ongoing coaching to all crew members on best methods, efficiency tips, and construction techniques for fences and gates.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages team growth and continuous improvement.

Operational Leadership:
- Manage daily operations of fencing projects and oversee crew performance.
- Act as a working crew leader, actively participating in installations and repairs.
- Acquire materials and manage inventory to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Communicate with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
- Maintain project timelines, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in fence construction and crew management.
- Strong ability to train and mentor team members in construction techniques and safety.
- In-depth knowledge of various fencing types (wood, chain link, barbed wire, ranch fencing, etc.).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and measure accurately.
- Effective communication skills for both team coordination and customer interactions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
